Outta Your Backpack Media Workshop

This workshop comprises youth coming together with experienced Native media makers to gain skills to produce their own short video, documentary, animation or digital story. During the two to four-day workshop, participants learn the basics of video production, camera operating and video editing to create a 3 to 5 minute video. Click here for more info.


Media Justice for Indigenous Communities Workshop & Discussion
What is Media Justice and what relevance does it have for Indigenous communities? How can we maintain cultural integrity within the framework of corporate media?
This one to two hour workshop is designed for Indigenous grassroots groups and/or individuals that want to: address media bias, get better coverage for their issues, understand how to develop a basic media strategy and be better spokespeople.

Developing a Media Campaign Strategy
This two-hour+ workshop is for organizations or individuals  who desire to become more effective in developing and implementing media strategies for social or environmental justice campaigns. Topics covered are: coordinating effective media events, writing better news releases, action support, online media activism, knowing your rights and more. Contact us for more info.
