Osh-Tisch was a warrior & keeper of the Badé (two-spirit) tradition. She gained her name in the “Battle of the Rosebud” in 1868. Osh-Tisch was later imprisoned with other Badé due to Christian attacks on two-spirit tradition but was released after her Nation rallied to gain the Badés’ release.
