Outta Your Backpack Media Workshop!
Nov. 24th & 25th, 2007 - 10AM - 5PM

At the Youth Media Arts Center/Infoshop
Flagstaff, AZ

The Outta Your Backpack Media Collective creates community ownership of media, recognizing the inherent creative energy of youth, and challenges corporate dominated media. Outta Your Back Pack Media is a partnership of Native Movement and Indigenous Action Media.

WHAT IS THE OUTTA YOUR BACKPACK MEDIA WORKSHOP?

The workshop comprises youth coming together with experienced Native media makers to gain skills to produce their own short video, documentary or digital story. During the two-day workshop, participants will learn basic of video production, camera operating and video editing to create a 3 to 5 minute video.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?

The workshop is free! Lunch will be provided.
Transportation will not be provided.

WHO CAN APPLY?

While the Youth Media Project Workshop is focused on ensuring that youth from Indigenous communities have access to media skills and resources, anyone can apply. You don't need previous media experience, just a will to learn!
